The One That Started It All

Now, everyone thinks I am just all about Adidas. Do not get me wrong. I love Adidas and typical it has been what I constantly refresh my collection with. Although, the shoe that got me into the sneaker game, is the Jordan 1.

When I was younger I loved playing basketball. Michael Jordan was my idol. I was so obsessed that I named all my gold fish and lizards, MJ. Growing up, getting my hands on a pair of J’s was not the easiest thing. With a single mother and an older brother, our choice of sneakers was whatever the BOGO at Foot Locker was.

Time went on, I grew up, I worked hard. Every sneaker I have ever owned has a story behind it. I was lucky enough to be able to get these last minute through a homie. Although, I prefer more of a running shoe look, this shoe brings a story to me on how hard I worked to be able to buy my own Jordan’s. Therefore the Jordan 1 will always remain a favorite of mine and have a soft place in my sneaker heart… These Black Toe Jordan 1’s have a story of their own.

I struck out multiple times in getting a pair over the years when the only way you could cop a pair was if you were waking up early and hoping if you waited in a long line at Foot Locker they still had your size. So being able to have this shoe in my collection is HUGE to me…

Not only do I have my own story for this shoe, but it has one of its own. The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” is among one of the many original color ways of the AJ1. This shoe is very hard to find and sought after. Compared to the 1985 version, the leather features a build with wings and Nike Branding. The “Black Toe” make up is distnigupd by its original interpretation of the Chicago color scheme. The “Black Toe” comes equipped with the OG title as due to the Nike Air tag being left on the tongue. This makes it identical to the 1985 one. The release is officially a white/black-gym red one with red taking care of the heel and outsole and black surrounding the toe box, the lace collar, and the Nike Swoosh

On November 5th Nike released the Air Jordan 1 Black Toe. This shoe was previously released in 2013 so this was very exciting for a re release of the shoe.

Overall, my feedback on this shoe, is 100%. My love for Jordan 1 will never change and the Black Toe may be one of mu favorite 1’s besides the Shattered Backboard.

Brookeydoo Out.
