Vapormax VS Boost

I want to first off start by saying, YES I WEAR NIKE. I started the game and my love for sneakers was created by NIKE BRAND.

Now, time for the real review. I recently purchased 2 pairs of the Nike Vapormax. Yes, 2 pairs!!! Mostly because I simply could not decide out of the two color ways which to keep.

The first pair I had my eyes on were the Odyssey Midnight Blue. The second pair I thought I was going to return, the Lavender/Dusk/Purple.. I could not get myself to put the return label on the box and ship them once I had them on my feet. Both of the colors just pop and the way the light hits, the colors pop even more. Both of the colors were a part of the Night and Day Pack. The concept of the pack sold me even before I saw the shoes. As a runner, I love all things that relate to runners and allows you to personalize your workout with what you wear on your feet.  (Check out my previous blog on a full review)

Now here is the low down.. The REAL review!!!

If I had to pick Vapormax over Ultra Boost…

I would choose Vapormax. My reasoning behind this may be different than yours, or you may agree with me. The feel throughout the day with wearing both of the shoes is the reasoning why I picked Vapormax. I love the Ultra Boost and all the cushion it gives me, but it lacks in stability and firmness while wearing. Not to mention sometimes the Boost can make your feet look bigger than they are. They are great for people that have wide feet and really need that full cushion and cloud feeling. I will say that you do need to break these in unlike the Ultra Boost, but after a day of wear, they are amazing...

The Vapormax does give you a bouncy feel when you first wear them, and then you get use to the bounce on the bubbles. As a runner, I personally like a shoe to be slim and firm. Not to mention, I love the look of the Vapormax when wearing skinny jeans or a tight jogger. My current two shoes that I alternate for running are both Ultra Boosts. When I first started to break these in they were great. They instantly gave me a good ride, when with my previous experience in running in Nikes, I did have to break them in. Although, the Ultra Boost do not last long compared to Nikes.  Since I have put so many miles on my boost, I can feel the burning starting on one of my most used pairs once I start putting more miles on it.

In my opinion Nike wins the game with the amount of time they put into creating the best technology for the shoe. The shoe’s been in development at Nike for seven years, with rigorous product testing throughout. It was speculated that this is the most tested Nike model ever, 350 athletes have ran a total of 126,000 miles in them.

Overall, these are two totally different shoes. They are both running shoes but the feel and the appearance of style are very different. The Vapormax is a tighter fit, with a sleek slim look, and displaying a futuristic look. The Ultra Boost will give you a more low profile look and provide you with a softer cushioning.

Sizing comparison!? This is super tough because Adidas sizing is all over the place. I will give you my sizing for both, I would however recommended trying both of these shoes on if you have never purchased one.

Adidas Ultra Boost Womens 1.0/2.0/3.0 = Size 8

Adidas Ultra Boost Men 1.0/2.0/3.0= 7 or a 7.5

Nike Womens 8

Nike Mens 7

If you are a fan of sneakers and love all brands you already know both of these are fire. There are no sides to choose, if you stay rocking Adidas, or go hard with Nike, but are intrigued by the Vapormax or Ultra Boost.. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed with either of the two shoes.
