The Return
The Return!

Back in 2012 Nike released the Flknit Trainer for the 2012 Olympics. Many of you have seen this beautiful silhouette worn by Kanye West. Not only did Kanye leave his mark with this signature silhouette, Kevin Durant was also spotted in an upcoming colorway of the shoe at the NBA Finals. We all know Kevin Durant is a good baller, but the hype is more inspired by Kanye West. Let's not get it twisted .. A hype of a shoe can definitely be defined by who is wearing it. Since the shoe was discontinued in 2013, Nike has now given us the chance to be able to purchase this shoe and also various color ways that will be coming out later on. Even though this shoe is hyped due to Kanye West, the shoe is a beautiful black and white color way that resembles an Oreo in my opinion. Let's not lie, we all want a bite of it.

The Flyknit Trainer, as well as the Racer, were two of Nikes first shoes that introduced knit uppers to the sneaker culture. These shoes made a special debut in the 2012 Olympics worn by many athletes. Now, in 2017, with the Flyknit Racers stopping future stock and ending, the Flyknit Trainers have been re released. This shoe was available for Canada and Europe on July 27th on Nike CA, Sneakersnstuff, and other retailers overseas. These are once again returning to release to the US on August 24th. Mark your calendars and be sure to download the SNKRS APP if this is a shoe you want to add to your collection.

So how was I so lucky!? Well lets just say its good to have a connection. I had someone contact me with an extra pair in my size and I was able to get the shoes for just $25 over retail cost. Yes, I could have waited to try and secure a pair off of Nike, but if you know me, you know I'm impatient. I wanted to make sure I had my pair locked and did not have to worry about my size selling out and also the resell value going up Who knows I could even land a second pair ... to be continued ...

The fit!?
I would definitely say go true to size. This is my first pair of Flyknit Trainers. I was curious on the fit. They definitely are not as snug as a Racer or a VaporMax in my opinion. They really fit perfect. The comfort is really good on these shoes too. They have a comfortable snug fit that just lock right into your foot. They also include another set of laces if you want to compliment the white and black of the color way of the shoe with some popping black laces.
Fun fact for you guys that do not know much about Flyknit.. The knit fabric is made from recycled plastic that has revolutionized athletic footwear with weight and breathability, this gives your foot a breathable way to respond. I would definitely say and I'm sure you agree that the Racers and Trainers are definitely responsible for Nike rolling out some other shoes we all like that have the flyknit upper material in the shoe. Another fact, these shoes resemble exactly the same look and feel as the previous versions. If you do have an OG pair from 2012, you will notice the box is not orange from the previous release. It is now a red Nike box.

Overall, I love this color way. I am always a sucker for a dark and light blend. Anything that resembles and Oreo is always cop for me. Not to mention you can really wear this shoe with anything and the fact that it gives you breathability and the comfort level is on fleek, I definitely approve anyone trying to cop this sneaker, and I look forward to the various color ways Nike plans to roll out. This definitely should be on anyone's radar who loves the Racers and also the Flyknit Frees Frees.

Brookeydoo Out.
