Skepta.

Well Nike, you did it again, straight fire.… Not only is this shoe fire because it represents an artist I love, Skepta! Skepta was inspired to create his own Air Max 97 due to his love for the Nike Air Max 97 Tunned that was released back in 1999. Skepta did his first collaboration with Nike, and the pictures do not lie, they killed it. I cannot even fathom the amount of love I have for this shoe. This shoe was inspired and influenced by a trip to Morocco. The iridescent colors of the shoe give hints of greens, Burgundy, and as Skepta calls it, Moroccan! The inside braided embroidery is placed on the sneaker’s tongue and heel while strong yellow coloring makes its way to the inside of the visible Air Max Unit.

Not only does the shoe come with such beauty, but the box is also so unique. With patterns of dark and gray of beautiful floral hints complimented by tissue paper matching the box.The collaboration also has special insoles that a matching touch to what matches the box.

I cannot even lie, this pair of shoe is crazy in hand. This is one of the most authentic collaborations from Nike I have seen in awhile. Skepta is a rocker of the 97 model and this was the best shoe to really bring his flavor of love for the shoe to life.

One thing I love about a shoe is the story. Skepta not only did a collaboration for the fun of it or for the hype of it, he did it because he truly loves this shoe. To me that shows love for the brand and love for the shoe. The hints of the SK Air that are debut on the shoe really add his touch even more. He took what he loved and brought it to life, he made it his own. Just like his music, he has his own style, and this shoe for sure has it!

Overall, this is a beautiful shoe for the fall and I could not be more happy to have it apart of my collection. Not only our the colors striking out of the box, but when the light hits they pop even more. For sizing, these actually run a tad bit bigger than the OG 97 Silver bullet I have. I would go true to size or a half size down. Sizing up may make it a little too big and add too much room in the shoe when wearing.

Brookeydoo out.
